Acrylic on canvas. Detail of painting "Fringed" in my Spirituality Gallery. "People on the fringe are more open. You are fringed." This phrase came to me during a prayer along with this image. The "fringe" is made up of emerging, budding tulips growing out of the figure. I see the large tulips in the background as sun and moon, and the hair as a sort of halo or additional sun for the fringe to grow. The abdomen area has the look of a tulip bulb.
